Solar Cuts Blocked on Appeal
The British government has been locked in battle over plans to cut the feed in tariff for solar subsidies. As we had touched on previously, (UK Solar Tariffs Branded illegal) we thought an update on the issue was required.
Just last week the government has failed in an appeal against a legal decision to cut back on the subsidy. The Court of Appeal ruled against the government’s plan to halve the payments to households with solar panels.
The government has however continued their case to the UK Supreme Court and the decision to cut back is still pending review here.
We will keep you posted with further developments on the issue and and when they become available.
