My client is a firm specialising in providing commercial, contracts management and claims advice for a range of clients across a number of engineering and construction sectors. They now have a requirement for an experienced Contracts Manager to join them in Finland to work on a large Nuclear Power Plant project. The successful candidate will be required to lead a multi-discipline team dealing with the contract and commercial management of the project including change management, contract administration, claims avoidance and handling, dispute and arbitration proceedings.
The ideal candidate will most likely be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with legal or arbitration qualification e.g. MSc Construction Law, LLB, MCIArb aswell as MRICS or a similarly qualified professional from another relevant discipline with the experience of contracts and claims management. Experience of managing a team is also required. In Finland there is a nuclear renaissance so there will be plenty of opportunities to be involved on interesting projects.
